The Project Estimator assists the sales/estimating department by qualifying Request for Bids; herein referred to as RFPs, from existing and potential clients, for viability and attainability. This position requires: attending pre-bid meetings; issuing RFIs as needed; taking measurements; evaluating jobsite conditions; reviewing project drawings; reading project specifications; and contacting suppliers, vendors and subcontractors.
The Project Estimator assesses collected data, converts this information into scopes of work and take-offs, materials and manpower pricing estimates, and incorporates these into RFP response documents. Must work well in a team setting and independently. Excellent proposal development, presentation and negotiating skills utilized to succeed in this role. Demonstrate expertise in working with the sales department and decision makers to ensure a deep understanding of clients’ individual experiences to head off potential issues before they become problems.

The annual compensation for this role is between $100,000-$120,000 based on experience, plus commission based on performance objectives.
